The Island Sun is a 40-foot Briand designed performance/cruiser with a 13' beam and 5' draft designed for the shoal waters of the beautiful clear blue waters of the Bahamas. She's fast, incredibly strong and comfortable, providing the best in sailing charters.
All cabins are air conditioned. There are two double aft cabins (the starboard quarter cabin is reserved for the captain) and a forward v-berth cabin (berths are 6'3" or longer), plus a spacious main salon which has a built-in CD player, VCR, and plenty of room for reading or relaxing. There's a full galley, well-stocked with dinnerware, pans, cooking utensils, toaster, and microwave. The yacht has a complete nav station, two heads and a shower. She can also generate her own fresh water and electricity, so you can take long showers and blow dry your hair when you're finished.

Capt. Al & Wife Angel CAPTAIN ALAN HAUCH is a United States Coast Guard licensed Merchant Marine Officer, licensed Bahamas Boat Master, American Sailing Association Instructor and Commercial Pilot. Captain Al, who has sailed in the Great Lakes as well as throughout the Virgin Islands, has been sailing in the Bahamas since 1978.
